Well my day started off pretty much the same as always. Abbie woke me up around 7:30am by crawling into my bed and laying half of her body on top of mine. She then decides she wants her diaper changed and some milk from the fridge. So she says "Mi Mi" her version of Mommy about 5 times til I finally get up and tend to her needs. Then she walks me back to our room and lays on the bed with me for about 15mins before getting up and leaving the room to play with my Grandma. So I continue to lay in bed til about 8:30am and then get myself up. As much as I hate 8:30am I wouldn't give up my mornings with Abbie for anything in this world.
Well I play with her and Lily for a bit and then they get tired of someone older playing, so they run off and entertain themselves. I don't mind, it gives me a chance to play around on the computer. So I checked my email and still nothing NO surprise there... and then I tab over to my blog. Something different today. Usually its Yahoo.com and then Facebook.com. Not today :) Well I blogged this morning while the girls were playing and then called a good friend and talked to her for awhile about the issues on the ship and about our perfect little angels. I would have to say I have talked to her more in the last 2 days then I have in the last month. I'm definitely going to make a habit of calling more. :) Well we finish our conversation and its time for me to take a shower. So I'm showering when my phone rings and it's my aunt so I answer since shes planning my whole wedding I figured it might be important... I was correct.
So she asks me to meet her at Samsclub because she has some shopping to do and we can talk wedding stuff. So I finish my shower get ready, get Abbie ready and decide to put her hair in pigtails today. She looked adorable!!! We left and met Aunt Cheryl at Samsclub which worked out great for me because I had care package stuff to pick up anyways. We walked around and talked for a little bit, checked out got some pizza and left. She went back to work and I went home.
So I stayed home for a little bit because its fairly chilly outside and it was Abbie's nap time. She decided she didn't want to sleep...Well I still had care package items to get and pictures to pick up and print out. So Abbie and I leave the house and run to the mall to return a scarf and pick up her Christmas pictures. We then leave there and head to Walmart. Well she fell asleep so I ran to my Aunts house to pick up pictures I had there. By this time Abbie had woke back up and Walmart was on our way home. So we go into Walmart to get all of Daddy's care package stuff. She gets excited picking out Little Debbie snacks for her Daddy. So we finished our shopping and headed home. Well we still had errands to run and so we turned around to run our errands. We went to the movie store and picked out a few movies to watch tonight. "Pearl Harbor" "Dora" & "The Other Man". After that we ran to Walgreens to drop of a roll of film to be developed. We left there and came back home. We then packed up 2 full care packages to mail off to Jack. We did not seal them yet because Abbie wanted to draw a picture for Daddy and we still had pictures to put in them. So Abbie draws her picture and my grandma came home in the middle of it. I ask her to watch Abbie while I go and pick up the pictures to get them into the care package so I can mail it off in the morning before I leave for Rockford. She agrees and I leave. I get to Walgreens pick up the pictures and head home. When I got home dinner was ready. Crab legs, Salad, and a Baked Potato!! How yummy! So we sit down and eat. After dinner I finish packing up the care packages get them labeled and all ready to mail out. So another 2 care packages done and ready for the hubby :) SOOOO excited and proud of Abbie and myself!
After that not a whole lot happened Abbie has been playing with Diego and Angel and I've been sitting in the chair blogging. I know my days might not seem like much but they are everything to me. I have my moments and I complain but in the end everything I go through is worth it. 3.5 months of this deployment are over and only 3 to go. I'm ready to have Jack back in my arms and ready for a fresh start in Washington. I have made a lot of great friends over the last 3 years, some have come and gone and others have come, gone, and come back to stay. I've been burned and crushed but no matter what life throws my way I'm ready for it now. I have grown as a Wife, A Mother, A Friend, and A Women. I am ready to try new things and challenge myself as a wife and mother. I'm ready to be the Susie homemaker and Southern house wife that my husband wants from me :) I'm ready to be the full time mommy even more so than I am. This deployment has opened my eyes up to many things both good and bad but it has made me realize just how lucky I am to have an amazing husband and father for my child and an amazing daughter who I love more and more each day. I have everything I could want and more. Things don't always go my way and they never will but I'm OK with that and I know that my future with Jack, Abbie and our future children is going to be amazing and I can't wait to have him home in my arms again. Until then I'm taking things one day at a time.
